Location is the one of the most private information of a subscriber in a mobile network and is secured by the laws. Therefore this information must be accessible by others only after the consent of the subscriber. Besides a subscriber may like to share this information to a certain degree depending on, whom and what the other subscribers and services are respectively.

Oksijen LES is enhanced location enabling server that provides advanced location based, subscriber and service provider privacy management utilities. Oksijen LES can also be bundled with Oksijen Location Based Service Platform which has multi channel service creation and delivery environment for operators to create and launch location based services by using different communication channels of wireless networks including SMS, MMS, IVR, WEB, WAP and USSD. Oksijen LES ensures the protection of privacy and anonymity of location from service providers and other subscribers.

By means of its provisioning interface, subscribers have the full control over their location information because they have the opportunity to disclose their location information in accordance with variety of criteria as stated below:

Who : Subscribers can set the list of other subscribers; whom can or can not access their position information.

When : For certain services, subscribers may set the time intervals such that their position information shall be accessible or prohibited. As an example, while it may be accessible weekdays; during evenings, weekends and holidays access to their position information may be prohibited.

Where : For certain services, subscribers may set the regions where their position information shall be accessible or prohibited. As an example, while it may be accessible in the city or country where a subscriber lives; when outside of those regions, access to position information may be prohibited.

Accuracy Value : Subscribers may set the accuracy value for each of the others they like to share their position information.

Notification Status : Subscribers may set this criterion as to be notified with a USSD or short message which includes the information of who is requesting the position information. In case of notification by USSD, only after the approval of the subscriber, can his position be accessible by the requester.
